Ethics BowlColumbia College is proud to have been a sponsor of the Rootin’ Tootin’ Chili Cookoff last month at the Central Missouri Events Center. The college had a banner at the event and an information booth staffed by Admissions. All proceeds benefited the Boys & Girls Club.

Columbia College hosted the first Missouri High School Ethics Bowl in February. The bowl was a competitive yet collaborative event in which students analyzed and discussed timely real-life ethical issues. High school teams from Columbia participated, and Rev. Dr. John Yonker and Dr. Melanie Johnson-Moxley were judges. The event was sponsored by the Humanities Department, Admissions and Events, Protocol & Design.

Ernie Wren, associate dean for AHE; Gretchen Hendrickson, assessment coordinator; and Marketing were highlighted in the Columbia Daily Tribune’s “Top Drawer” section for their accomplishments.

Ben Cameron, adjunct art professor; Mike Sleadd, art department chair; and Scott McMahon, assistant professor of art, were involved in the 35th annual Paper in Particular exhibit. They were featured in an article by the Columbia Daily Tribune.
