Jerry Kelly, a Columbia College alumnus, is working in Georgia as a crew chief for the Atlanta Peach State Football Officials Association, where he is the lead referee of high school football games. Kelly, who spent 20 years in the Navy, is in charge of administering the game and became a referee in 2001 because he wanted to give back to his community. Kelly is the vice president of training for the officials association. He was included in a story that looked at the different officiating positions on the field.
