BalloonsColumbia College announced it will open its 35th physical Nationwide Campus in Mesquite, Texas.

Columbia College-Mesquite will be housed on the campus of Eastfield College in the Workforce/Corporate & Continuing Education building, as part of an academic relationship between the two institutions.

“Columbia College has a long history in the state of Texas. We have operated on military installations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for nearly forty years. We’re excited to increase our footprint in the great state of Texas,” said Dr. Jeff Musgrove, vice president for Adult Higher Education at Columbia College. “We’re confident that this partnership with Eastfield College will help us provide quality education to learners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.”

The Mesquite campus will offer junior and senior level courses to allow students with an associate degree from Eastfield or another institution to transition into the college’s bachelor degree program. Columbia College-Mesquite aims to offer three courses for its January session, and will waive the application fee for Eastfield students. Overall, there will be a focus on criminal justice, human services, general studies and business administration courses. The college also offers more than 20 bachelor and master’s degrees online.
