Columbia College-Jefferson City students Catherine Sala, James Baysinger, Heather Gieck and Joe Jerkins of Jefferson City, Missouri and Clarice Stuckey of Brinktown, Missouri recently received the Jefferson City campus scholarship. The scholarships award students $1,000 and are funded by the campus’ faculty and staff. The scholarships were presented by Becky Bocklage, director of Columbia College-Jefferson City, at an on-campus ceremony with more than 100 students, faculty and staff in attendance.

The evening also was special for Rachel Kurz of Freeburg, who was selected as the first recipient of the Joe and Becky Bocklage Scholarship.  The Bocklage’s philanthropy created the scholarship, which will be distributed annually to a Jefferson City campus student.

“It was amazing to have the entire Jefferson City campus community here for the presentation as we honored these six exceptional students with our campus scholarships,” said Bocklage. “We are thrilled to honor them and assist with continuing their education.”
