Campus Admissions Manager Deborah Calo

Deborah Calo ’88 has recently been named campus admissions manager for Columbia College-Hancock Field. Calo will be responsible for planning and organizing all aspects of recruitment, admissions and enrollment management at the Hancock Field campus.

“We are thrilled to have Deborah join our team and are proud to hire an amazing alumna of Columbia College to promote our academic programs here at the Hancock Field campus,” said Dr. Scott Vinciguerra, director of Columbia College-Hancock Field.We are confident that she will build great relationships in the community, and we are excited to work with her in this new role.”

In addition to her recruitment duties, Calo also will participate in community relations functions, organize and attend education fairs and help develop marketing plans.

Prior to this new role, Calo served as senior coordinator of academic services at Syracuse University in the Office of Disability Services for 14 years. Also, from 1990-2000, Calo worked as a career services consultant at OCM BOCES Career Training Center assisting clients with every step of assessment, counseling and career placement.

Calo holds a master of science in counseling and psychological services from State University of New York at Oswego and a bachelor’s in psychology from Columbia College in 1988.
