When springtime hits the Lake of the Ozarks, alumni and community members have come to anticipate the Columbia College Community & Alumni Appreciation Day and Book Drive. This year’s event, which runs from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on May 2, will feature great prizes, free food and live music.

This family-friendly gathering is in its 8th year and will include:

  • Free t-shirts for the first 200 attendees
  • Live musical performances by local artist Shawn C
  • A live broadcast by KB from 93.5 Rocks KRMS
  • Faculty presentations on different areas of interest
  • Meet-and-greet with Scooter the CougarCD14_59
  • Tours of the Lake of the Ozarks campus with faculty and staff

Members of the campus’ Student Leaders Advocating Teaching Excellence (SLATE) group will be accepting grade-appropriate books (K-5). Donated books will be presented to graduating education program students to help them stock their classroom libraries.
