Robert Allare has been named campus admissions manager for Columbia College of Missouri-Crystal Lake. Allare will be responsible for planning and organizing all aspects of recruitment, admissions and enrollment management at the Crystal Lake campus.
“Robert has been a tremendous faculty member for both our Crystal Lake and Lake County campuses for many years,” says Debra Hartman, who serves as Columbia College’s regional director and campus director for the Crystal Lake campus. “We are confident that he will continue to build great relationships in the Crystal Lake community, and we are excited to work with him in this new role.”
In addition to his recruitment duties, Allare also will participate in community relations functions, organize and attend education fairs and help develop marketing initiatives for the campus.
Prior to joining Columbia College in a full-time capacity, Allare served as an adjunct faculty member for the college, teaching history classes at both Columbia College-Crystal Lake and Columbia College-Lake County, as well as at two other community colleges. He has also worked for 10 years in the consumer goods industry for Bristol-Myers Squibb in sales, management and marketing.
Allare holds two bachelor’s degrees, including a marketing degree from Illinois State University, and a history degree from Northern Illinois University. He also earned a master’s degree in history from Northern Illinois University. Robert, his wife Jennifer, and sons Matthew and Jamieson, reside in Lake in the Hills, Illinois.
