Momentum is building toward what should be yet another outstanding year for Columbia College Athletics in 2015-16. The fall sports seasons unofficially kicked off on Aug. 25 as coaches and players from the volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s cross country teams were introduced at the annual Cougar Club Fall Sports media luncheon. Several teams are already in action with volleyball going 3-1 at the Red Raider Classic last weekend and the soccer teams combining for a 3-0 record so far this season.
All five fall sports are in search of American Midwest Conference championships and have strong chances of reaching team or individual NAIA National post-season tournaments or meets. Read below for some quick previews of all five teams as their seasons heat up.
