Kingfish Vet Donation_2

Several members of the Kenosha Kingfish baseball organization and the Columbia College-Lake County campus staff recently presented the Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation a check for $1,603. The donation was proceeds from the Columbia College Military Jersey Silent Auction which was held on August 6. The military jerseys were worn by Kingfish players every Sunday in support of “Military Appreciation” every Sunday at Simmons Field.

“We are proud to partner with the Kingfish for this worthwhile cause,” said Columbia College-Lake County director Lyndon Russell. “This is the second season we have worked on this initiative to support the Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation with the Kingfish and they run a first class operation.”

King Elvis attended the presentation, along with staff from the Lake County campus and The Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation. The Kenosha Kingfish were the 2015 Northwoods League champions!
