Columbia College-Lake of the Ozarks is excited to announce the next edition of the political and historical discussion series called “Coffee at the College.” The forum is scheduled for Sat., Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. and will take place at the college’s campus located at 900 College Blvd. in Osage Beach.
Mr. Jim Pasley ’87 and Dr. Marvin Schulteis, Columbia College-Lake of the Ozarks faculty members and local radio personalities, will be featured during these forums. The event is open to the public and offers opportunities for conversations and Q&A sessions on different topics. Additional faculty and community members will be invited to join the conversation in upcoming months as well.
Pasley and Schulteis will offer historical and current perspectives on the issues facing the United States and the world during the first forum. The following forum, scheduled for Oct. 24 at 9 a.m., will be hosted by Criminal Justice Professor Jim McIntosh and History Professor Jim Shepherd. The forum will focus on experiences both professors had had in the Middle East region. From Afghanistan to Kuwait, both professors will bring their historical and cultural perspectives of the region and offer hands-on experiences that are both rare and informative.
