Rothwell head shot croppedColumbia College President Scott Dalrymple, Ph.D., has announced that Suzanne Rothwell has been named the executive director of Advancement for Columbia College. Rothwell had served as the interim director of advancement since July 2015. She will continue to oversee the development, alumni and public relations departments, which make up the Division of Advancement at the college.

“Suzanne is the consummate professional, and we are fortunate to have her on our team,” Dalrymple said. “I am very confident that she will continue to do an excellent job leading our Advancement efforts.”

Rothwell has served as the senior director of Public Relations for the college for more than three years and has played a key role in elevating the image of the college.  She is an ambassador for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, a member of the board of directors for the Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation and a member of the board of directors for the College of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Missouri. She is also serving as co-chair for the Education Day for Leadership Columbia and is on the nominating committee for the United Way Board of Directors.

In 2014, she received the Columbia Daily Tribune Women in Business Awards for Professional Excellence.  This award honors an outstanding businesswoman who has been in a business or professional field for five or more years and who has demonstrated a mastery of job performance and made significant contributions to a business, organization or profession.
