Columbia College-Springfield Campus Director Kathy Gress recently announced that student Joanna Struttman has been awarded the campus’ scholarship for the 2016 academic year. Struttman is a senior student working toward a bachelor’s degree in general studies. The $850 scholarship is presented annually to a current Columbia College-Springfield student.
“We are pleased to present this scholarship to Joanna and assist with continuing her education,” Gress said. “We could not provide this great benefit for our students without the generosity of our alumni, faculty, staff and others, and we appreciate their support.”
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be enrolled with Columbia College, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the college, and provide a two- to three-paragraph summary justifying why they should receive the scholarship and stating their financial need. They must also have completed at least 30 semester hours of college credit and 12 semester hours with Columbia College and be in good financial standing with Columbia College.
