Evening Campus Director Jeannie Simmons

Jeannie Simmons, director of the Columbia College’s Evening Campus and Missouri region, recently announced the opening of a new advising center at Moberly Area Community College’s Parkade Plaza location in Columbia. Also, Columbia College will now offer on-site bachelor’s degree classes.

The office, located inside MACC-Columbia’s Academic Resource Center in Room 208, offers admissions information and prospective student advising for all MACC students. The new advising location is an addition to the Columbia College advising center located at MACC’s main campus in Moberly, MIssouri. Both locations offer a one-stop shop for MACC students interested in learning more about Columbia College’s four-year degrees, and walk-ins are always welcome at either location. To schedule an appointment, please call 573-875-7610.

“Our goal is to foster an easy transition through early advising for MACC graduates interested in attending Columbia College,” Simmons said. “We believe the continued development of advising centers will accomplish this goal.”

Additionally, the college is offering upper-level coursework at the MACC-Columbia location for MACC students interested in earning a bachelor’s degree in business or general studies. The convenience of Columbia College coursework offered in the same classrooms and location as MACC is a win-win solution for transfer students, deepening the relationship between the two institutions.
