Columbia College-Jefferson City location director Kim Bonine recently presented academic scholarships to eight outstanding students at a special ceremony in Jefferson City.

“We are very proud of these recipients. The work they put in and pride they take in excelling academically is admirable and appreciated,” Bonine said. “We could not provide this great benefit for our students without the generosity of our alumni, faculty, staff and others, especially the Bocklage and Jungmeyer families.”

The three different scholarships are presented annually to students who fulfill the criteria for each award. The 2019 recipients include:

The Bocklage Scholarship ($1,000)

  • Tynesha Hardin – Junior, Jefferson City, Missouri

The Jungmeyer Award ($1,000)

  • Amari Graves – Junior, Jefferson City, Missouri

The Jefferson City Location Scholarship ($1,250)

  • Alexandra Cade – Senior, Jefferson City, Missouri
  • Tyna Chavez Chavez – Senior, Holt Summit, Missouri
  • Timesha Hardin – Sophomore, Jefferson City, Missouri
  • Joanne Moore-Lewis – Senior, Jefferson City, Missouri
