More than 60 businesses, government agencies and graduate schools will be online and ready to interview Columbia College students and alumni as part of the Grossnickle Career Service Center’s first-ever Virtual Career Fair. There is no charge for the event, which will take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on March 4 via the Handshake Career Management System. The virtual event is also open to students from other institutions as well, but a .edu email address is required to register.
“This event gives our students the chance to meet local, state-wide and national level employers in a way they rarely could in the past,” said Dan Gomez-Palacio, director of the Grossnickle Career Center. “We’re very excited to have students take advantage of this virtual fair and we encourage them to come prepared with an updated resume loaded into their Handshake profile.”
Students can learn about opportunities for full-time, part-time and summer jobs and internships. Employers can interact with students either through scheduled, one-on-one sessions or group presentations for up to 50 students at a time.
Both employers and students can click here to register for the event and view the list of organizations that will be in attendance. Additional questions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org or call (573) 875-7425.
