Greetings from Fort Leonard Wood and Waynesville! As the title suggests, we’ve seen so many things that have completely rocked our world, and not just here, but everywhere. First COVID and then we all thought we were coming out of that only to find ourselves in the midst of this new variant, Delta. As we navigate the changes in our lives, incorporating safety measures, we also learned that yes, we can continue to live and thrive in this “new normal.”

As I write this we are planning the fall consolidated commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. on October 8, 2021, at Nutter Field House. Yes, this is a planned in-seat event at this time. Columbia College Fort Leonard Wood and Waynesville are sponsors to the 9/11 Remembrance Event held at the Pulaski County Ft Wood Shrine. We are proudly sponsoring the Waynesville High School Football Team! Go Tigers! We are working with Ozark Technical College to hold a two-day open house in September, covering financial aid, scholarships, dual enrollments, and general college questions.

The bottom line? We are absolutely ready to face the challenges of today and tomorrow with each and every one of you! You’ve shown us that no matter what life throws at us we can not just overcome but we can thrive.
