My name is Shena Frazier. I am the Program Coordinator at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. I am originally from Greenwood, South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!). I moved to Kingsland, Georgia, in 2009 and have been here ever since.
My husband Vance and I have been married for almost 12 years. He is an active duty submariner in the US Navy. We have three children, Maia (8), Mason and Myles (2). I have worked in the field of education for 13 years in various roles. I began at Columbia College as an Adjunct Professor in Biology at the NSB Kings Bay and Jacksonville Metro locations in 2018
I love the connectedness that Columbia College brings. I am excited and determined to help our students achieve not only their academic goals, but to help strengthen them as individuals. As a military spouse, I understand the challenges that the “military life” brings. The experiences that I have encountered, are what push me to be an advocate for our students. I am here to offer support and to remind our students that their goals are within reach.
In the words of the legendary author, poet, activist and all-around inspiring woman, Maya Angelou: Nothing will work unless you do.
