Columbia College-Imperial has successfully established a promising partnership agreement with the Imperial Irrigation District (IID), arguably the most reputable employer of the Imperial County region. IID employs approximately 1,500 workforce professionals, from irrigation maintenance to electrical engineers, a top employer from our region.

Connecting our student population with local employers through partnerships is a win-win for the region. “I appreciate Columbia College efforts in providing higher learning opportunities in Imperial Valley,” said Alex Cardenas, an IID supervisor and part-time faculty member at CC-Imperial. “Columbia College is going to assist in making Imperial Irrigation District’s employees’ dreams come true,” he said.

The partnership will put Columbia College in front of IID employees in numerous ways, including promotional videos/ads on IID’s intranet site; marketing materials included in paystubs and newsletter, and college information on other IID items.
