Each summer, local students from third grade through their senior year of high school trek to Columbia College’s main campus in Columbia, Missouri, to participate in interactive and educational summer camps. Students will have the opportunity to learn a variety of exciting topics in a fun and safe environment!
Below is a snapshot with registration information for each scheduled 2023 summer camp at the college:
Nursing Camp
- Gain hands-on experience in the nursing industry, meet Columbia College nursing staff and experience a day in the life of a nurse.
- Monday, June 12 – Friday, June 16
- Audience: Grades 11-12, 2023 graduates
- Time frame: 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Cost: $250
- Register by Friday, May 12
Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) Camp
- Discover STEAM concepts through the world of Icky Bugs and Enchanting Flowers. Students will be guided through microscopic investigation to learn about the anatomy, symmetry, sculpture and more of bugs and flowers.
- Monday, July 17 – Friday, July 21
- Audience: Grades 3-8
- Time frame: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Cost: $400

From Page to Stage Camp
- Collaborate with fellow writers and actors while developing playwriting and acting techniques. Students will practice script writing and work in groups to create a 10-minute play to be performed at the conclusion of the camp.
- Monday, July 24 – Friday, July 28
- Audience: Grades 9-12
- Time frame: 9 a.m. – noon
- Cost: $100

Girls Who Game Camp
- Learn video game design and grow skill sets with Esports professionals and fellow gamers. Students will engage in cooperative and competitive play while learning about career opportunities in the industry.
- Monday, July 24 – Saturday, July 29
- Audience: Grades 6-12
- Time frame: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Cost: $350
