More than 60 Columbia Public Schools fifth- through eighth-graders on Friday celebrated their week at Columbia College with Summer Expeditions.
The event was in New Hall at Columbia College. It’s the 12th year of the month-long summer program with one week each summer on campus with college professors.
It’s fun to watch Columbia College professors doing chemistry experiments with fifth-graders, said Molly Taylor, the Summer Expeditions coordinator for Columbia College.
Students have tennis in the mornings and swimming in the afternoons, said rising sixth-grader Caesar O’Donnell, 11. He will be going to Jefferson Middle School in August.
