Tyler Renn is a winner. A clutch competitor in his high school days at Eugene High School, Tyler led the Eagles to a pair of district baseball championships and state tournament runs as a prolific hitter and lights-out pitcher. He was also team leader and sharpshooter for Eugene basketball, who was never afraid to take the shot with the game on the line.
With his focus solely on the baseball diamond, Tyler is now swinging one of the hottest bats in the NAIA at Columbia College. A top-10 hitter in the American Midwest Conference in both his freshman and sophomore seasons, Tyler continues to shine as one of the most consistent hitters in his junior year.
The Cougar coaching duo of Darren Munns and Craig “Boomer” McAndrews were a big reason why Tyler chose Columbia College. They coached together at William Woods University prior to building the baseball program at CC in 2017.
“Darren Munns and Craig McAndrews have a long history of developing great athletes and people. It did not take me long to realize that these were the kind of people that I wanted to be surrounded with and learn from,” Renn said.
