Tim ’01 and Crystal ’02 Elliott

Columbia College is proud to announce a six-figure leadership gift from the Elliott family to advance student success.

The family’s generous support will fund student scholarships, expand opportunities for the Robert W. Plaster School of Business Competition Team, and enhance the video streaming technology for Cougar Athletics events.

Tim ’01 and Crystal ’02 Elliott each earned degrees in Business Administration from Columbia College’s Day Program. They have been successful business leaders in mid-Missouri for many years, owning and operating Atterberry Auction, a premier auction and realty company based in Columbia. The couple has supported the College with their time, talent and treasure for more than 20 years, and their most recent investment builds on a long-standing tradition of generosity and engagement.

“Tim and Crystal and their family exemplify the spirit of leadership and generosity that propel the mission of Columbia College,” said President Dr. David Russell. “Their commitment reflects a desire to provide students with the tools to succeed in the classroom and beyond. They have responded to our call through the Fund for the Future initiative, and I am greatly appreciative of their vision and support.”

The Elliotts’ Columbia College legacy runs deep. Crystal’s mother, Linda Peterson, is a two-time graduate of the College, and her father, Jim Peterson, is a familiar face at Cougar home basketball games, where he has worked for many years. Their family’s involvement is a true testament to their continued dedication to the College’s success.

“Through this gift, we want to invest in the next generation of students at Columbia College and help ensure they have access to the same opportunities and support that meant so much to us,” said Tim Elliott.

“Columbia College holds a special place in both of our hearts,” said Crystal Elliott. “This institution is where we met and began building the lives we have today, and we are proud to give back.”
