Columbia College Board of Trustees Chair Anita Abbott Timmons ’58 recently announced the election of five new members to the Board, effective July 1, 2026.

Bob Burchard, Tim Elliott ’01, Susan Hart, Floyd Norrick ’79 and Brian Struchtemeyer will serve four-year terms as Trustees through 2030, guiding the 175-year-old institution into its next chapter of serving modern learners in Columbia and around the country.

There are now 19 Board members with the addition of the new leaders.

“We are honored to welcome these five outstanding individuals to the Board of Trustees and are grateful for their commitment to join us in leading Columbia College forward,” Timmons says. “They will work with the current Trustees to usher in the next 175 years of our institution and our next 100,000 alumni who turn educational opportunity into purposeful life pursuits that impact their local communities, our nation and our world.”
