The founders of Columbia College saw the need for young women who wanted to go to college and they established what was then known as Christian Female College. This in and of itself would be a terrific legacy, but in reality, it was just the beginning of a remarkable journey that continues to this day.

Greetings from Fort Leonard Wood and Waynesville! As the title suggests, we’ve seen so many things that have completely rocked our world, and not just here, but everywhere. As we navigate the changes in our lives, incorporating safety measures, we also learned that yes, we can continue to live and thrive in this “new normal.”

The start of each session is a fitting time to not only reflect on past achievements, but identify our goals for the future. We’re cheering you toward success, but also encouraging you to think about what has prevented you from reaching goals in the past.

With all that has happened over the past year, it’s hard to craft upbeat narratives. Like most everyone, what can I say about 2020 without breathing a heavy sigh? Yet as we begin 2021, I am hopeful.
